Hi there, I've just joined and this is my first post.
I'm basically self-taught on Access, at the moment I'm still getting to grips with a lot of the basics, so bear with me if my question seems a little on the silly side to be asking.
I've been building a database which requires the input of geographical data and local animal species. I had more or less completed the database, then my boss decided he wanted to make a few changes. This now means I've had to add one or two entries to the end of a couple of tables which puts the ordering of the records out of sync. For example, I have several records based on towns in the county of Yorkshire, but now have a further one which is currently sitting at the bottom of the table. I'd like to put the data in with the other Yorkshire records, but can't find a way to insert it higher up in the table without having to re-enter all the data again.
I do have a sneaking suspicion there's a very easy solution to all of this, but for the life of me can't see it right now.
I'd be the happiest girl in the world today if someone could point me in the right direction with this.
