Can someone help?
Im currently using my database in a multi user environment just about 3 users. But we can't edit at the same time. It always give the message that someone is already using the database. I have put it in shared mode, record locking, I have it on our shared network, but for some reason only one person can use at a time.

Am I missing something.
I'm currently using Access 2007.

sounds like you need to split the database into front end & back end.

Tools/Database Utilities/Database splitter (at least in Access 2003, dunno if it moved in 2007).

Split is the only option. Before or after split (before recommended), make sure the record locks for each table is turned to "No Locks". Also on the Access Options, make sure the record locks is set to "No Locks".

Then many more users can edit and enter data at the same time.

THanks...
I tried splitting the database. But when I copied it into my co workers folders, when they went to open it, it said something like "it wasnt on their server.'
so question:
After I split, I had my front and back end.
Do I need to put it on a hard drive on their computer? Because when I just copied the front end into their folder on the shared network it didnt work? (Access 2007)

Also, regarding split.
When I split database, can I copy a separate front end version for each person, ,meaning turn off certain priveleges separatedly for each front end user?
