I have setup user level security on my database and now I want to use that same workgroup to secure some other db's. I am not totally sure how to do this. This is what I have done so far:
1) Set up a shortcut on my desktop (will do this on everyone's when it works) targeting the workgroup I have already setup.
2) Opened the bd via the shortcut and set up permissions and made sure that the users group still had no permissions.
This all works great using the shortcut. But I can still open the db without the shortcut. I used the security wizard but it won't let me connect to the workgroup that I want to use. It appears to be creating a new one. Actually, I'm not sure what it's doing.
When I used the wizard, my shortcut still worked and I couldn't open the db without the target.
Should I be able to import items from other secure db's using the same workgroup?
