Thanks, Ken
Since SQL Server Express came out, I've downloaded it and started reading books (and dozens of articles/posts) about SQL Server hoping that it will be a good way to consolidate 20 or 30 locations using Access (very happily, mind you) over the internet.
I have many, many questions, and I am still unsure as to whether to go SQL Server Express or MySQL. There seem to be so many considerations!
I suppose my biggest concern is whether the application will require the user to hire some sort of administrator or DBA to run the thing. As in most organizations, costs are a huge factor.
Some other things I am not sure about in the SQL Server migration is whether to go .adp (I've read many articles arguing for and against it) or linked tables, whether I need to rewrite my queries as stored procedures, use pass through queries and the list goes on and on...
Be well
