mysterious run-time error

I have a simple note section on my form (data type set to memo). This is where my staff enters any notes when they speak to a student. For some reason, on a handful of records (3-5 of 3,000 records) a run-time error occurs when the user attempts to edit or add anything to the notes.

Does anyone have any ideas on why this is happening?

I would guess:

a. The fld may be full
b. The record may be corrupt

Try compacting and repairing your DB to see if that helps.

I know field is not to full, there is minimal text in the note section for these particular records.

As far as these records being corupt, wouldnt it efect the entire record, not just on field?

I will also try to compact and repair. Thanks

Possibly not, AFAIK Memo fields are a special type of data and is stored seperatley from the other data. Pat would know more
