I received a thousand .log files and need to convert them to .txt files.
Each .log file is located in a folder called Data.
The Data folder is located in a numbered file : 004_01, 004_02, etc.

I need a tool that :
1. opens the numbered file e.g.005_17
2. looks foor the Data folder
3. opens the Data folder
4. picks the .log file
5. opens the .log file in Notepad
6. saves it as a .txt file
7. closes notepad
8. picks the new .txt file
9. moves it to a folder called Text files
10. goes to the next numbered file and loops

My numbered files are :
004_06 till 004_15 and 005_01 till 005_17

When all save-as are completed and moved to the folder Text files I need to collate all the content of the separate .txt files in one new Notepad .txt file.

I need a tool that :
1. opens the folder Text Files with Notepad
2. searches for the first .txt file
3. opens the file
4. copies the content
5. pastes it into a new notepad file called All Text Files
6. closes the first .txt file
7. opens the second .txt file with Notepad
8. copies the content
9. pastes it into the notepad file called All Text Files

Any help very welcome, I feel nothing for doing the entire job manually.

Thanks in advance

Check out the filesystemobject thingy. You can get hold of all the files in a folder in a collection and loop through doing whatever it is you need to do.
