Need Help with Check-In-Out Form

Hi CJ,

thanks for the code and its working very good.

But seems like as i'm trying new scenarios, some new problems are coming up. Example, when a employee tries to check-in a Gun or a Scanner; the same gun or scanner serial number shows up in Gun-Out and Printer-Out fields.

Also the form does not refresh after any gun-in or printer-in entry. Meaning the employee who scanned-in an equipment, his/her name stays in the emplouee_id field.

You'll need to start looking at the code and change to what you require.

Example, when a employee tries to check-in a Gun or a Scanner; the same gun or scanner serial number shows up in Gun-Out and Printer-Out fields.

This was intended - if an employee has checked out a gun, it can only be checked in. I haven't kept a copy of the db so cannot verify if this was happening the other way round. The intention was that the checkin/out lists are limited to what is possible i.e. a gun cannot be checked out more than once - it has to be returned first. Similarly a gun can only be checked in by the person who checked it out.

I set one of the employees up so they can have more than one gun - see what happens with him.

Have a look at the code and change as required to what you want.

This was also intended - thinking being that the employee would check in one gun and check in another. If you want to remove it so the employee_id field is blank after every entry, look in the code for 'employee_id.defaultvalue=employee_id' and remove it

Made few changes as you suggested in the code and now everything is working great.
