I have a form that has a bitmap picture on it and I have some hidden buttons that point to different parts of the picture. If the user points to a section info for that part is displayed. All that works fine until the user decides to change his screen resolution and or even worse changes their personaliaztion to small or medium. This totally screws up the form picture. My question is can I stop the scaling of the picture / bitmap.

Thanks

I've come across a similar issue with a Windows Forms .NET application I wrote. Basically, if the user changes the resolution or personalization there's really nothing you can do about it. It's down to the way Access (and Windows Forms) render graphics objects.

WPF solves the issue because it renders graphics in a different way, from the ground up if you like, rather than using built in Windows graphics objects. I doubt very much that the overhead in learning WPF (no mean feat in itself as I'm still trying to get the hang of it!) and rewriting your system in it would be cost effective!

You may be able to use Windows APIs to check for resolution and personalization settings and, if they are not set the way the system needs them to be set, inform the user. That's what I would do...

Ok so I have it figured out on how to detect and change the resolution that im clear on. But how can I detect what a user has their DPI set to? I'm thinking if I can detect that I can has it make hem change that to run the dbase but I can't figure out how to detect it?
