I'm a first time poster...be gentle....

(simplified..) I have a combo-box with the fields "Description" & "Part Number".
(problem) Some of our sales staff know our product by part number, some by description.

Short of making 2 combo boxes on 2 forms (which is very ugly in the middle of an order entry screen), is there any way to easily be able to select a part by either means in one combo-box (or list box)??

(if so I can't figure it out, as only the 1st field can be scrolled.)

if u have one conbo box for two fields then y cant u just have two combo's, on for each field. Basically there would not be much difference in width and the user can enter data into the combo they want!

I have a similar situation with employee number and name. I need to store the number, but some users don't know it. I have the combo display both, but bound to number. I sort it by name, so if they don't know the number they scroll down and select by name. If they know the number, they just type it in.
