Need to force mm/dd/yy format (1 Viewer)

My formats for a bunch of date fields on my form are short date format (6/19/75), but I can enter something like 13/12/11 and have it display as 12/11/13. I want to make sure that while entering, the format I enter my date as goes mm/dd/yy. Does this mean I shud specify an input mask with mm/dd/yy as the criteria? Thanks!

I’m thinking along the lines of showing mm/dd/yy inside the field whenever a user is entering data, how might I accomplish that as I don’t want control tip text, I want the user to SEE how the format shud be before entering the data. Thanks!
