Select the following in a form:

Code:
Person_Drop Color_Drop Place_Drop
 1 - Man 1 - Red 1 - Store
 2 - Woman 2 - Green 2 - Beach
 3 - Clown 3 - Periwinkle 3 - Monster Truck Rally

On the report, I want to create a text box that says something like:

= "The " & [Person_Drop].text & "in the " & [Color_Drop].text & "went to the " & [Place_Drop].text & "."

Any way to do this in just the one line? Is there an onLoad event that I need to put into the form?

Thanks everyone!

Can't access that site on the work network.

Let me complicate things a bit... it wasn't obvious, but the numbers refer to the ID value of the table that the dropdowns pull from.

Then store the selected values in a large table we'll call "Story"

Code:
Table: Story
ID Person_ID Color_ID Place_ID
1 Man Red Monster Truck Rally
 2 Woman Red Beach
 3 Man Green Beach
4 Clown Red Monster Truck Rally
 5 Woman Green Store

When I try:

= "The " & [Person_ID] & "in the " & [Color_ID] & "car went to the " & [Place_ID] & "."

I get errors, but effectively, it seems to pull:

The 1 in the 2 car went to the 2.

Originally I was using a combination of labels and text boxes, but the spacing issues made the sentences unreadable.

hmmm....

You appear to be referring to fields in the report's source. The normal method would be to base the report on a query that joined the relevant tables together, allowing you to return the text value. If you're referring to the form, you'd probably want to use the Column property to get a different column than the id.
