Hello everyone. I've been lurking here for about 2 months.

My background is Chemical Engineering and Engineering Management. With my current job, I have began to create Access databases. I have very little support within the company due to political issues between departments.

I started off with just using basic built-in Access features and have began to use VBA and SQL code a bit more. I finally created an account because after about 2 months of lurking here, I figured I should create an account.

Yep. That's pretty much what I've been doing. Starting off small with simple databases that require no VBA and slowly working my way up to more and more complicated databases.

For instance, my recently finished product started off as a very basic database which kept evolving as I learned VBA and was able to put in a lot of validation to prevent the entry of bad data.

I also bought 2 books which has helped a lot in the whole learning process.
