Hello, my name is Don. I have been dabbling in DB's for years, DB#, FoxBase, FoxPro and three versions of Access. I am currently on 2007 at work. I have a few C++ classes under my belt but I struggle adapting programming (VBA or C) with my databases and queries. I look forward to meeting a few of you (textually speaking) and learning alot and who knows, maybe I will be able to contribute someday.

When I am not slaving away at work I enjoy time with my family and my motorcycles, sometimes. Both can be a royal pain in the arse. Hope I didn't get lockout already :D

I have a unique issue with a query that simply groups inventory in multiple locations by their department prefix (VS, QC and so forth) and lot number and sums the on-hand quantities. My problem is there always seems to be on entry that will have a doubled value. This is consistent until the item is consumed and then I may go a week or two before another number picks up this attribute. To work around this I have another query that does that same thing but only works with the single inventory table (the problem child has multiple tables all linked one to one with a master list.

They don't like technical questions in the "Introduce yourself" forum. Start a new thread in the "Queries" forum and I'll jump in there if someone doesn't beat me to it. Lots of good helpers here.
