Not Showng All Surnames

Thanks its looking alot better now.....

Hi again,

I have managed to get the report to look like what I want it to do. But......as its grouped by ID how do I sort the Surnames alphabetically?

I have attached the latest report, take a look at the last name on the last page, one Smith surname but not listed alphabetically.....:o that ID is number 177 the last ID number..............

Hi,

In the grouping/sorting window under the id field which you are grouping with add your surname under it and it should sort out your problem

i tried that on a sample report and it seemed to work fine on my end. Actually what i did is i followed the wizard to create the report, and i added a grouping from the wizard and even the sort order from a "next" screen in the wizard, and then when i went to the sorting/grouping window, that's how the wizard got it to work.

What you can do is try to create a similar report using the wizard and set the grouping and sorting from the wizard (that should work fine), eventually compare the grouping/sorting properties to see what you have different and amend accordingly.

Hi,

I don't know what else to suggest, sorry. What you can do is try to upload a sample of your report, maybe someone manage to spot the solution on the actual report.

I must have a bug in my programme.......I have copied bits over to create a sample DB and its working ok.....................

Hi,

try creating a new database and import all of your objects (tables, queries, forms, reports etc.) to this newly created database container, and this may solve your problem.

Goodluck
