Brits resort to pulling own teeth

LONDON, England (CNN) -- Some English people have resorted to pulling out their own teeth because they cannot find -- or cannot afford -- a dentist, a major study has revealed.......

So how many of you Brits have resorted to this?

I wiggled some of my milk teeth out when I was a kid - does that count?

I stood behind a door playing hide and seek - someone kick the door open - lost 4 teeth - does that count (I was about 8 at the time )

My dentist has been fantastic (shes also very good looking- which helps)

i have pulled with of my own teeth out with a pair of pliers.. it hurt! unfortunately it was because i had a killer tooth ache all weekend and couldnt wait anymore to see the dentist.. in the end me n my bro got abit messy on some Jack D's and pulled it out.. The swelling was so bad that it actually came out quite easily or it may have been b/c we were drunk! and it didnt help with the pain.. in the end i went to the dentist to get a fake tooth. I have also had a couple of root canals done and that hurts alot more trust me, the drill through the centre of your tooth scrape out all the nerves so they cant grow back and fill it in... easily more painful then giving birth! my gf know nothing ;)

I have had 3 root canals. I didn't go to a dentist, I went to a dental surgeon (dentist who only does oral surgery like root canals).
On all 3 occasions it didn't hurt at all. I didn't have gas, just a local. The oral surgeon has told me each time that I'm the best patient she's ever had. I always respond that its easy to be a good patient when she doesn't hurt me.

If you need a root canal, ask your dentist for a referral.
