Opening xls in 2007 with Access 2003. (computer is installed with both xls 03 & 07)

Hi, I’m having some issue to get the following macro to work completely.
First off, my computer has 2 versions of MS excel, 2003 and 2007. but the file that I’m trying to import has way too many lines for 2003 to handle. So 2007 is the only way, however, by default the file is not willing to open with 2007.
Please help…

You could just uninstall 2003?

an access database will try to open with the last access version used. If you want to use A2003, open A2003 manually, then close it first. obviously switching between A2003/A2207 requires a brief reinstallation.

i have seen a paid for app that will force a database to use the designated version.
