Question Option Group Choice Not storing in Table

Driving me crazy! VERY basic question from a new user.

I create a Table1 One field is response1 set to NUMBER

New blank form then created

I create a yes/no option group in a frame using Controls Wizard returning 1 & 2 and set the Control source to =[Table1]![response1]

This does not put the selected option value into the field

I have looked everywhere and at last must post the question.

I am a bit confused. based on your description, I have two questions.

Are you trying to put the selected option value into the response1 field. (or) are you trying to put the option value based on the response1?

Check your control sources.

Hi pr2, Thanks for your comment so fast. Trying to put the value (1 or 2) from the option clicked, into the table field Response1 without coding it in (because I hope to have a lot of these on the form

I have discovered my problem, I have to save the form before the table is updated. Then the values of the option boxes appear in the table.

VBA is great but takes some getting around.
