I have to provide a Quote/Order/Invoice and stock control system very quickly for one of our satellite offices, and wondered if anyone knew of any "boilerplate" databases that have done all the grunt work, so that I can just edit reports and forms etc to get them up and running. We are happy to pay a (modest) fee for this service, but would expect to get full access to the design/code for later development and customisation if required.

I've tried Googling but get page after page of rubbish !! Any pointers would be gratefully recieved.

Thanks and Regards

There's an inventory control wizard in Access.

Thanks for that - is it any good ? I based a Order Database on a combination of Northwind and Microsoft Wizards once before and lived to regret all the non-standard fieldnames, spaces, lack of naming convention and general confusion, so I hadn't even considered that. I'll give it a go later.

Thanks for that

Is it any good? I've no idea! Being an accoutant by training, I tend to write my own financial applications from scratch. In any event, I tend to think that you either use things 'out of the box' or you start from the basics. Modifying someone elses code is no fun, even when it is well written.
