password/login

hi every1,

im having some trouble creating the functions of a form in VB.

heres what i need to Do....

create a login form and if the incorect password is enterd 3 times, a pop up appears saying that u must contact the administrator.

i need some sort of loop i think!
can some one help me out please!!!!

also can some one help me with some code to turn the data entered into the password field into *******

MikeUK,

Your password form will obviously be modal.

The password field's font can be set to password.
I don't have Access with me so I don't know its
exact name.

Your form can have a hidden control, default to
zero.

On the BeforeUpdate event of your password field,
check to see if password is correct, increment the
hidden control by one, If the hidden control is
equal to three then show a MsgBox then DoCmd.Quit

i dont know if this is relevant at all but i aint using a Table or anything, just a Form.

also if the password is correct it opens another form.
u think u could describe in a bit more details what i need to do plz
