I posted this question before, but no positive answers.
I need to build a database for government documents and some of them are required to convert into PDF files. I wonder how I can search the content of these PDF files.
As I know from the Adobe Acrabat website, one of the features of Acrobat 6.0 Pro is that it can "convert paper documents to compact, searchable digital files", and I got some information from other sources that said with Acrobat, the paper-based document can be scanned and converted to a tagged file which can be searched by screen readers, does that mean its content can be searched in the database? I just don't know how to do it.
Please give me some advices on how to start and how to proceed.
Thanks in advance
