Hello,

I have created a database which has 9 tables, the first table being the contact information, but in all tables there are fields for firstname, lastname. Is there a way when you enter the firstname/lastname fields into the main table that it can populate the same information in to the same fields in the other tables? If so how. Thank you in advance. Dave:)

That sounds awfully de-normalised  you should not be storing the same data in numerous tables, where you need to refer to that data in other tables you should only being storing the RecordID that allows you to identify that record in your Main table.

You might also want to work through a Tutorial on the subject.

I got the answer in another forum!

Nope, and since you couldn't figure it out, I'm not going to tell you!

Nope, and since you couldn't figure it out, ...

How do you arrive at that conclusion

Normalisation is the corner stone of good DB design. Without that you are just making unnecessary work for yourself further down the track.

Have fun :D
