I still fail to see the connection between a terrorist threat and the financial demise of the UK. Are you suggesting that they both must be untrue because it's reported in the media?

I might disagree with Rich on many occassions but that is a rude post from a relative newcomer and as weird as the post that provoked Rich's "eh ? :confused: " .

I have to agree. I understand if you said it in jest, but even things said in jest can be taken out of context by others on the forums. The post has been removed.

And it should be quite obvious that he's no newcomer at this point. :rolleyes:

I quoted the story as I heard it on the BBC 10pm news. It may or may not be wrong. If it wrong is I apologise on behalf of myself and the BBC for any offence caused.

BTW - can I have my old user name back please? Or shall I use one of the four others I have (each with different IP addresses and email addresses)

Quite right Vassago, and I suppose I apologize for it. And yes, it was made in jest, as hopefully most saw it that way. And I suppose I also should have known that Rich is quite unique, based on what I've seen posted by him.

Best to not stir the pot I assume. ;)

Apparently he was already attempting to be recruited before the FBI set him up. Just a typical exercise in intelligence gathering on an individual with criminal intent.

If I were arrested for something I was innocent of, I would be frightened. There are too many cases of innocent people being found guilty to take this casually.

If I were caught in the act of trying to set off a bomb that I had every reason to believe was real and that was large enough to level a city block, I'd be frightened as well...

Or you could just accept the fact that government does strange things. Or you could realize the times. I wouldn't trust the government if my life depended on it. Advertising yourself as a muslim in this country right now is just about as stupid as planning a trip to Iraq during the time that Bush was making waves about WMD. Especially if you're a young white male.

As I said to Bob, I gave enough clues. Also hidden in some of my posts are clues to my other user names.

It's just a bit of fun - lighten up. DaveP is just a name I thought of, I'm sure your real name is not "AccessBlaster". Oh, and you should really have a full stop after the word "lie". (Just some English grammar help for you.)

Where did I threaten anyone? I must have missed that.

I quoted what I had heard on the BBC - I have apologised if it is in error what is the problem?
