I have several Combo Boxes in my current project and none advance to the next field after making a selection. I always used the mouse to position to the next entry. Is there a property sheet setting that causes advancement or an Event Procedure needed, but which action (On click, On Update, On Change, etc.). What VBA code to use? TIA JP

Perhaps an example would clarify your post.
Combo box advancing to next field???
If you want to do something after selecting a value from the combo, the afterUpdate event would be the place.

Expanding on what jdraw said, let;s say you want the focus to go to a combo box named combo2 from a combo box name combo1. In the afterupdate event of combo1 the code would be

Me.combo2.SetFocus

you may also use the after_update event of the combo by sending tab key:

private sub combo0_afterupdate()
SendKeys "{TAB}"
end sub

I have dabbled with Access for many years and never thought about the need for logic that advances the cursor after updating. Many heart felt thanks to all who contributed in solving this question for me! JP
