G'day

I downloaded this sample from >> http://www.access-programmers.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=76010I ... and was playing with it ... naturally, I am lost ... ok, you could say, what's new about that ;)

However, is there anyway to get the sample database to print the results of a search without printing just a printscreen type thing (from using PrintOut on a button)? I tried a report, but, my only choice then was to print the whole query ...

Would a form filter be in order here, then print a report ... or?

What do you suggest?

Regards
Oz  (yet again)

Identify the current record identifier, filter and print.

:) that sounds so simple ... but believe me, it is not!

Would you care to explain in more detail, please? I do not understand what you mean by 'current record identifier' ... do you mean the report? If so, do you mean to filter the report based on the whole query?

G'day :)

Instead of PrintOut, I take it I should be using OpenReport?

However, I keep getting lost whilst attempting the criteria for the wherecondition. Is it possible to have more than one ... and if so, what syntax would you suggest I use?

Oz

G'day, :)

My pet hate is doing things via trial and error ... lbecause I can never recall what worked and what did not!!!!

Is there no other better method ... I need to understand what and why I am doing what I do ... (and I really wish I had access to books ... but ... I don't ... that's the price for living in the bush)

Thank you

Regards

PS ... an aside ... my optic fibre tree looks great in my shed (now that it is nearly dark) ... just a test version though :)

I just don't have a databse that shows this, further absent extraordinary circumstances, if one were a commercial developer, sharing databases is commercial suicide.

I suggest that you post you question again in a new thread, to get some new life for your question. I don't look at threads that have multiple responses.
