Friends,
I need any and all help with this report/subreport problem.
I have a report that pulls info from the departments (Operations, Analysis, and Specops). Users from each section input data into their own data entry forms. Records from each section all have a SITREPNUM field which is automated and is used to link the different sections together. Data from all sections is pulled together in a report called rptSitrep.
Operations contribute one record (memo field) to the Sitrep. Analysis also contributes only one record to the Sitrep. SpecOps, however, contributes several per daily Sitrep.
Each section's records has a classification (either UNCLASSFIED or CONFIDENTIAL). Operations and Analysis will pretty much always be UNCLASSIFIED, but SpecOps records may be either UNCLASSIFIED or CONFIDENTIAL.
The Sitrep report has an overall classification that needs to reflect the highest overall classification of the constituent parts (i.e the highest classification of the SpecOps records).
This is driving me mad. I have no concept of how to go about checking the values of all of the SpecOps records and then applying it to the overall Sitrep classification.
Is my explanation fairly clear? This seems really complex to me, but I wonder if I'm not seeing an easy solution. Any ideas, thoughts would be GREATLY appreciated.
