problem with my database

Hi all, newbie here, Please could someone will help me out with a problem i got with my database, i think the problem has something to do with the log table/module i got as i get Run-time error “3201” you cannot add or change a record because a related record is required in table CustomerT

like i said before, i'm a newbie and my other problem is i've not been on this for over 6months now and didn't notice a problem at the time when i was making it with the help of your good selfs, so this is me atm :banghead: because i really don't want to start again.


the problem happens when i try to edit a customer, the form come up ok, but when i tick quote needed i get the error

ps.....dont think customer equipment is working right too, so if you can help with that too, that would be great ........ dont worry though if not, i know its cheeky of me to ask

Look at the relationship and the value you storing in the fields and the value your a using in the parameter transfer to Function LogChanges.
Example:
You call the function with the CustomerID and want to store it in the company field.

thanks for the reply, but i really have no idea where to look and how the log works, i copied it from a site and it was working for me so i kept it, lol......i have got a older version of my db with it working but i still cannot find what is causing the problem :banghead:

hi,

i think your database has logical problems..and i can't believe it had worked before.

please review the attachement i have changed the relationship and events.
- relationship: data type should be same and it is properly related to the function(log module) parameter.
- events: a record should be saved first to use relationship
