I have a database I originally created back in 1997 to manage recurring tasks for my group. As versions of Access have come along I converted it and had no problems. Now however, after installing 2007 and converting a copy of my database to 2007, it has problems.

First of all, I get an error message saiing it contains a missing or broken reference to the file "dao2535.tlb ver 3.5" and also "utility.mda". I am still struggling to find everything in 2007 but I did manage to find the location of the reference to utility.mda in the Visual Basic but remove is not an active option. What do I need to do to eliminate these error messages?

I also have other problems, but if someone can help me with this first, I will seek specific help for the other issues later.

Thanks,
Jim

Check your references from the VBA editor Tools-->References. You will see a list of librarys with ticks indicating the ones that are currently assigned to that DB. [MISSING] indicates the ones it can't find. Deselect these and scroll down the list to find similar librarys to select instead.

Wow....that seems to have fixed all my problems. I was getting error messages on other things and it would take me into debug the code, but this simple change seems to have fixed everything.

Thank You!

Jim
