Timed Queries Help

Hi,

I am looking to run a query to append to a table but wanting to do this at a specific time each day rather than manually or on an action.

Is this possible?

yes, there are two ways to go about this, but each way depends on the machine being booted up and someone logged onto it.

1. use windows task manager to start Access at the time of day you want
the job to run. Set Access to run the macro on startup.

2. Use the On Timer event to check the time and run the code when you want it to run. For this to work, Access has to be running all the time. I use this method over number one. I had a terrible time with the task manager and finally gave up.

There may be other ways to do this that I don't know about.
