Read only records

I want to make groups of records in a table read only. This is to protect existing records from being altered when new records which are started from copies of the earlier records are being added to the table.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Use the 'AllowEdits' property of the form in the OnCurrent event.

If Me.Group = "x" Then

Me.AllowEdits = False

Else

Me.AllowEdits = True

End If
