ok, so this one is making me crazy now.
I'm trying to change database name, and not the one in database properties and changing the title. I've done that already.
:banghead:

You cannot change the name of a database file while it is open.

Make a copy of the file and name it.

So Copy will contain all the data as well, i can then delete the previous one?

Let's go back one step. What are you actually trying to achieve?

there is

a) the filename of the database
b) the name of the database in startup properties
c) a project name

do you mean one of those?

Sorry for confusion.
What I mean is the database name, saved in my files. the very first one you go to when youre opening Access.

But what is the purpose of changing its name?

If you mean the name of the file in the folder, then you cannot change that while you are using it. change it directly in the folder before you open it. you will then have to open the file manually, the first time, by finding it in the access file browser, as the saved file name that access has in its memory will no longer be valid. This is more windows file management than access, which is perhaps why it is causing confusion

The Name of my database is dbtest.mdb, I've created this database for team of many people i want to change to something theyre femiliar with so that they know what to open.
