Hi all:

Simple question, simple problem; hopefully there's a simple answer.

I've set the 'Font Italic' method to 'True' for my 'scientific_name' text box control in a datasheet form. It does not render in italics. I've gone so far as to create an On-Load sub with a single command:

Me.scientific_name.FontItalic = True

The control still does not render in italics. What am I doing wrong (or not doing right?)

:banghead:

When you view a form in Data Sheet mode text formatting has no effect all fields are displayed in the default text.

You could use a continuous forms and position your fields so as to replicate the look of a data sheet.

Thanks, John. Is this limitation in Data Sheet view documented? I didn't see anything in Access Help or at the various MSDN URLs.

Switching to a CF means lots of effort to mimic the look and functionality (sorting/filtering) of the other data sheets in this application. I'll have to think about if it's worth the effort.

Cheers!
Dave
