I have several reports created in an Access database that are set to use the default printer which for most people is a duplex printer. Our accounting person has her own printer which is non-duplex. When she tries to print multipage reports, the printer stops with each page and she must hit the continue button.
If I go into page setup as she's printing and select "specific printer" using her printer and changing nothing else, it then prints without problem, single-sided. For reports that were created before I was here, she also seems to have no problems. It's only when using reports I created that there's a problem. I didn't do anything with regard to page setup. I simply left the settings as default printer.
The solution I have in mind which seems to be kind of ridiculous, but might work is to do a send keys routine where the print button checks for who the user is and if it's the one specific person, and if so runs send keys to choose specific printer and then prints.
Any other ideas?
Thanks,
Mike Bruns
