Hi,
I have a database which is kept on the network and is being used by about 10 people simultaneously in my office. Lately, the following error is popping up at the user end at various intervals

Run-time error '3043'

Your network access was interrupted. To continue, close the database, and then open again.

This error is leading to a lot of hassles of closing the database and re-opening every now and then. Searched the internet but don't find a solution to this problem. I am using MS Access 2007 in Win XP environment. Help please!

It may be a bit obvious but perhaps there are issues with your network. Is your DB split into Fe/Be. If so does each user have their own copy of the FE database? If not you should split your DB into FE/BE or you WILL get data corruption and other issues.

Thanks Rabbie. Now that you've mentioned it I realize that I haven't split the database into FE/BE. I'll do this first thing tomorrow morning. Thanks again.

Just to reiterate:

And not only split it but not have users sharing a frontend. A COPY of the frontend should be on EACH user's machine and not shared as a single file from a network location.

I am having the same issue but I do have Access split into FE/BE and each client has it's own FE (not a shortcut). It seems to be happening on only one machine which is the newest of all. It was running Vista and Win 7. I tried both. We have been using the DB for several years now without having this issue. Also the access db BE is running on a network storage device.
