I have a form with 4 text boxes that are bound to a table with a save button. When I open the form and enter info into 3 of the text boxes and close without saving everything is OK and nothing is saved. My problem is that when I open the form and as soon as I enter info in the field that I assigned as the primary key in the table it automatically saves. This is not an autonumber, it is just a text data that I made the primary key and set it to required. How can I change this so that it only saves when I hit save.

You could add an autonumber to your table as a primary key ... even if you never do "use" that number.
