Does anyone know if it is possible to save a repot to a file instead of just being able to print them off using a macro?

Cheers

You should be able to save a report as a ".rtf" file (Rich Text Format, easily readable by Word) by click on the button "Officelinks" in your toolbar when you're viewing the report. The formatting can sometimes gets a little hairy, so be warned. These office links can be handy in other ways, i.e. viewing things in Excel, etc. Hope that helps!

Or print to Acrobat, if you have it...

Funny you should ask that - it's on my project list to normalize it this week, starting this morning (as soon as I'm done trolling the forum anyway)! :D

Or Export it to .snp (Snapshot) format.
Then download free utility from microsoft.com in order to view and print report later.
By the way saving to .rtf - not allow to see line control.

Do you have to install the .snp viewer or is it a stand alone .exe?

Yes , you have to install .exe in a few seconds on each local computer if computer does not have MS Access intalled, otherwise .snp file should be readed.

CC214700 -

Use the Docmd.OutputTo command to save to file. Here is some example code:

Code:
DoCmd.OutputTo acOutputReport, "REPORT NAME", "Snapshot Format", "PATH TO LOCATION FOR SAVE", True
