How do I take a screenshot of a form or report in my database?

Hit the Print Screen (PrtScn) button and then paste (Control and V buttons) the result into a word document.

The Print Screen (PrtScn) button is the first button to the right of the F12 button on the top of your key board.

Which version of Windows do you have? If you have Windows Vista or Windows 7 you have a built in tool called the Snip Tool.

Bob:
Never come across that where does it live

Use Alt-PrtSc to capture the active window only PrtSc alone will capture the entire screen.

It is part of the TabletPC options which you can select to install even on a non TabletPC. Go to Programs and Features under Control Panel and then click the Turn Windows Features On or Off on the left hand side of the dialog.

Why don't you just click the Start button and type "Snipping Tool" into the search? That will find it really quickly. That's how I find it.

That will work if you installed everything but if you chose to remove the TabletPC options then it won't be there unless you add those back in.

Absolutely, Bob. I use Snagit a lot too. It's fantastic. Different tool, different purpose. If you want quick 'n dirty, Snagit can't keep up with Snipping Tool. ;)

Well, I'm pretty good with SnagIt and can run rings around the Snipping Tool :D but perhaps some aren't as well-versed in SnagIt. :)
