Search between day range

Dear All,

I have a question:
I have 2 text boxes for user to enter Start Day and End Day, I only use the Start Day for all my queries. I can also sql to union Start day and End day to form a Special Date field.
What if the event start day is January and end day is March. During the search for the appearance for list of event for Feburary, I could not see it on the result.
Any method to guarantee the appearance. What is start - Jan and end at June.......?????

The whole story is for some sick leave records, it has the possibility of consecutive days. I have created a form to accomodate the above situation with Start Day and End Day.
For example:
DetailID Name StartDay EndDay
5 Mary 1/1/2000 3/3/2000

When I do the query, I created a form for user to enter a day range (DayS, DayE) by 2 text boxes with pop up calendars.
Even if I union the startday and endday into one table, I cannot find Mary in Feb 2000............?
