I have a form that uses the 'web browser control' to display pdf documents linked to records by a filepath field.

I am wondering if it's possible to do keyword searches on these documents?

I am guessing the answer is probably no. The newest answer I found in the forum is from 2012 - so just wondering if anything has changed since then?

Access does not have the built-in ability to read and search a PDF like what you are wanting.

You will need to use a third-party library that can do it or write your own.

There are some workarounds.

I store a link tot he PFD in a table.

I also include a field for keywords. This is searchable. The keywords have to be entered manually.

When I attached a PDF hat I want to search the full test I OCR it. The full test is saved into a memo field.
