Security Help

I created security for my db. Someone deleted files of my server and the security files are gone. I have tried to access the db as myself and all the other users and none of us can get in. I have even tried to create new and import from the original db and it wont allow it. I can access all other db's on the server. Does anyone know how I could get in? Im in deep....!!

Hootie when you say you created security ---- what sort of security did you create? and how involved was it?

If you created a system workgroup file for your db with user IDs and permissions...you are out of luck without the *.mdw file. Hopefully your network is backed up and your IT folks can retrieve the worgroup [*.mdw] file for you. There is no way you can access your db without that workgroup file if you correctly applied Access security to your db and it sounds like you did just that. There are sites that offer their paid services to break into your db for you but I can not recommend one to do that.

As a rule, multi-user db's should be split with the front end and the workgroup file installed onto the users PC and the front end is linked to the back end on the network.
