Sequencing issue (1 Viewer)

Hi All

I have created a database that has a field for section number. Within this field there are numbers from 5.1 through to 15.1. However the records are displayed with either 10.1 at the top or 9.1 if sorted. Is there a way of getting 5 to appear at the top ?

presumably you are not storing these details as numbers, but as text - so you are getting a dictionary sort.

you could try adding another column to a query with the expression val(whateverfield), and sort on that - but this depends on you only having numeric values in the field.
