Hello,
I was wondering if anyone know why this may be happening or a way to prevent from happening. Every so often the shortcut that all my users use for the database will change location. It recently happened when we upgraded to IE 7.
Is there a way to fix this so it doesnt happen anymore. The new shortcut doesn't work it prompts a dialog box to open with security warnings about opening the file, then it just opens Access and not my database.
I would rather this shortcut never change anyone have any ideas?
Before IE update:
"\\Vpc0854\c$\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\MSACCESS.EXE" "C:\Databases\Pipeline Reports\Pipeline.mde" /wrkgrp "\\PATH...security.mdw
After IE update:
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\MSACCESS.EXE" "C:\Databases\Pipeline Reports\Pipeline.mde" /wrkgrp "\\PATH...security.mdw
Now it may not be the IE update just coincidence that it happend around the same time. I removed the path to my security for length reasons and such but tha was correct, its just the first part of it.
