Sub Form passing question answer to query/form

I've searched for this and can't seem to ask the right question.

I have a lookup form with a subform that pulls employee info. If you double click on the employee record, it launchs a form, before the form loads it's asks for the Emp #, this question is coming from the Query used for the record source. All I want is when I dbl click the record it will answer the query question.

I hope this makes sence.
