Hi
I have a main form with a subform. When I open the Subform on its own all records are shown. When I open the main form only one record is shown. how can I get it to show all records when I open the main form?

any help would be most appreciated

do you mean when you open the main form, only one record is shown in the subform, is that it?
check if there is a Link Master Fields / Link Child Fields on the subform (Property->Data).

Thanks arnelgp
Deleting the Link Master Fields / Link Child Fields Sorted it.

ok, but when you did that, youll need to manually input the FK key on your subform since you deleted the link. if you forgot to input this and there is no validation rule on your db or subform, you might end up with an orphaned record in your table.

1- click on yoursubform
2- In the Property Sheet -> click the Data Tab
3- Delete Link Master Fields
4- Delete Link Child Fields

Hi @Ali99. Welcome to AWF!

Are you aware you are replying to a five-year old thread?

Alright, however when you did that, youll need to physically include the FK key on your subform since you erased the connection. on the off chance that you neglected to enter this and there is no approval rule on your db or subform, you may wind up with a stranded record in your table.

I know this is old, but you seem to be active these days. How would I do this?

Best to start your own thread instead of hijacking old threads.

Do this with VBA code and there is more than one way. If main and sub forms are both bound and have a relationship, why not take advantage of Master/Child Links?
