Sync Database

I have been designing a database for a friend of mine and yesterday he said that he was planning on having someone else do his inputting for him and wanted to sync up his with hers and hers with his.

I'm fairly certain this can be done however I have never attempted it and not sure, with my very limited abilities in code, if I can do it. I really would love to learn.

Where do I begin? Is there a better keyword then "sync"?

Any point in the right direction would be appreciated.
