The views here on the forum are free! Couple of hundred thousand dollars to listen to the drivel from Blair.

I see a distinct differance.

I also notice that I said these americans - ie specifically these americans who are willing to pay a premium for Blair to speak - and you have chosen to include yourself, either through an ignorant generalisation that all americans are the same, or because you would be willing to part with a good few hundred/thousand dollars to hear Blair speak!!

Participating in a "sport" where you blow the brains out of an innocent deer just for fun is (in my opinion) sheer bloodlust. You then strap it to the car and parade it about like some kind of superhero. There's no need for it when you have perfectly good supermarkets that sell everything you need.

All it does is satisfies the American love of killing something.

I had crossed swords with Ken about hunting saying that those who did it purely for pleasure are perveted.

He does it with a license which is only available when the herd needs culling because of exess numbers, they get to keep the meat. My Son-in-law does the same thing fishing, it all seems reasonable and even sensible to me.

It's almost as bad as the baby seal clubbing the Canadians do, then they skin them before they're dead.

Although I am against fox hunting etc

Deer Hunting I am kinda ok with

Deer are an unusal - if left to there own devices they would over breed and strip the food out and then they would starve (not a pretty way to go)

culling the herd has been a long standing process - and if done correctly quite humane - 1 shot 1 kill - even better if the meat is eaten after wards as the quality of life for the deer is better than that of cattle/pigs

However if it is done just for fun - then the perversion as you point out is right , done to cull the herd different -
game keepers in the UK do this all the time and they respect (most of them any way) the aniamals that are in their care

I am against fox hunting- hare chasing- badger baiting etc

Fishing - ok
Deer hunting - ok
Wild boar hunting (germany/france) ok with as long as it is done 1 shot
Pidgeon shooting - etc concerned over - but I think that these shoots are managed and that the birds would not be around if there were not these shoots

my view on this ( might be wrong, but hey i can live with that )

Perhaps you could get ALL of the world leaders (yes, even ours Rich) to go out on the ice fields with blindfolds; telling them that they were going to participate in a special "culling" event and then we all cull them and start over from scratch.

I have to agree with Rich lots of people freely give advice, but I think its a great shame that Ken has left the forum as he did give advice to so many people freely, but unfortunalty he was not thanked by many of them. Just like many other people on this forum that have helped numerous people. Personally I like giving advice for the simple reason that I've picked up so much hints/tips/solutions from this web site, therefore I like to try and give something back with my hints/tips/solutions (note: not always perfect).
