Why is it that Access truncates real numbers when exporting a table into a CSV or DBF file? When exporting to an Excel spreadsheet (not with the “Office Links” menu option), I see these single quotation marks at the beginning of every text cell – why is that?
If I try the roundabout way of exporting to a CSV file through Excel, Excel will truncate the real number to 9 decimal places if the formatting is set to general (default), and will pad the real number with zeros if the number format is used – either way it’s still unacceptable.
Any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated.
