I have a database set up and when I go to run the report it works fine but when other try to run the report it gives them this message:

The OpenReport action was cancelled.

Why would it run for me and cancel for everyone else? Nothing has changed - this just started happening.

Thanks for any insight.

Is your application split to FrontEnd and BackEnd and does everyone have their own copy of the FrontEnd?

Fixed

There is actually a system wide problem with Microsoft Access in general but does not affect every single user. There is a fix that works almost every time and that is to go into your default printer properties - once in the properties you'll click on every single tab, including sub-tabs & tabs within Printing Preferences on the General Tab. Below is the fix for the problem of printing a report from Access where MS Access fails to find your Windows default printer:

REFRESH THE PRINTER SETTINGS FOR THE REPORT:

1. Exit Access
2. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Printers and Faxes.
3. Right-click the problem printer, and then click Properties.
4. In the Properties dialog box, click Printing Preferences.
5. Click each tab in the Printing Preferences dialog box without making any changes.
6. Click OK to close the Printing Preferences dialog box.
7. Click OK to close the Properties dialog box.
8. Restart Access and then try to create the report again.

This method fixed the problem and now everyone can print just fine. Share this if you know others who are having problems printing reports from Access.

Thanks you!
