If you could travel back (or forwards) in time, where would you go, what would you see/do.

Col

I would tell my younger self to grow a pair and not be such a dufus...

Go forward find the lottery numbers, come back and pick them. :)

Brian

go back, see my mother, father and give them one last goodbye and I love you!

There are many things I would do.

One being to travel back to New York 7th December 1980, find Mark Chapman, break his hands and legs, leave him to rot so he couldn't do his despicable deed on December 8th.

I would go far enough in to the future to witness the first contact with alien life.

I would want to go forward - no point in going back, in my mind. I would want to see the world after the big ELE (extinction level event, as defined in another thread) and see what's up. I don't think that people will go extinct, for many thousands of years (unless there's a worldwide pandemic from which nobody is immune). I would like to see what the world is like in, let's say, 5000 years. Will there be only "mole people" that live underground, because the ultra-violet radiation has gotten too strong and deadly? Will there be any kind of a society? That's the kind of thing that I think about.

I don't believe that it will ever be possible to change history, just think of the implications.

So you are saying that Lennon is better dead by the bullet of a crank American, rather than living as normal a life as he could?

I expected better from a Scouser.

How do you make that connection from what I said?

Brian

Why you cannot change history.

If you go back and change history then the reason that you went back and changed history would not exist therefore you would not go back thus the situation would now exist therefore you would go back and .... Disappear up your own rear orifice.
