I just took a quick look at the stats and it's good news! Traffic is up compared to this time last year.

March 2023 had 186,000 Page views, while March 2024 had 253,000. That is a 36% increase! Perhaps there was a change in the Google algo that gave us some more love. Whatever the reason, this community must be doing something right. Perhaps Google can detect the avid enthusiastic conversations going on here. Fingers crossed it is not short-lived.

Great news, Jon
Do you have a comparison for the rest of the months?

Which months are you referring to?

Impressive! This has to be the top Access/VBA forum that I have come across. Thanks for keeping the lights on around here for us Jon.

The best way to look at it is to compare to the months from the previoius year, because each month is different. e.g. August tends to be quiet. I think Feb was about 35% up compared to the previous year. Something has definitely changed lately though, so its all good. We used to get 40,000 people a day back in the good old days.

Can we assume that moderator paychecks will rise a commensurate amount? :p

Yes, of course. Now let me do the math. 0 x 35% = 🤔

Might need to start on instance of Excel for this level of calculations. Access is a capable application, but it's all about using the right tool for the job...

Do you have a breakdown by Country?
My site got loads of hits from China. Irrelevant what my opinion of them, this doesn't count for me.

It is mostly from the US, with I think UK the second.

So mods get paid. That explains the arrogant and verbally abusive foul language from some who think they are God's gift and untouchable.

Oh, you are back? :(
Cannot see a joke when it is front of you then?

I've not been away. You can still be here without posting anything.

Sorry,
You appear to inhabit the forums I avoid.
I could swear I thought you were in an actual Access sub forum before, but looking back, I cannot see that now?
Perhaps it was before I ignored the various forums that do not interest me.

Which reminds me of Ron White's joke about not saying anything. He said, "I was being questioned about public drunkenness. The officer told me I had the right to remain silent. But I didn't have the ability."

I'm glad to hear traffic is up, Jon. I pay a small fraction of attention to this website that I used to, for several reasons unrelated to each other, however, I still appreciate that it's here and pop in briefly, frequently and I always wish for the best for this site and your endeavors in general.
