Transfering Database

Some time ago I saved an early version of my club db to CD to trial it on the club's PC.

I only tried it by running it from the disc and found that it was READ ONLY.

Will it automatically become fully usable when it is installed on the PC.

Your help appreciated.

Did you try it and see what happened?

Yes, it will open fine on a hard drive. It opens in read only mode because the db cannot create the record locking file [.ldb] when opened from a CD.

and clearly if the tables are on a cd, you wouldnt be able to write to them ...
